Godspower Stephen Oparaugo was born in Okolochi in Owerri West of Imo State in the Federal Republic of Nigeria. He is a prolific writer and youth activist on human rights and social leadership. He is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Initiative for African Citizens (IAC), an international nonprofit, nonpolitical and nongovernmental organization dedicated to promoting peace, good governance and development in Africa through youth participation in governance and decision making processes, founded on the 27 July, 2017.

Godspower Stephen Oparaugo love for social leadership began in his primary school days where he led his class as the class most brilliant, which gave him the privilege to mark both the test and examinations’ scripts for his class from primary five to six respectively. He scored the highest scores in his Common Entrance examinations in 1999 and has taken so many first or second position in his class, and was awarded “Best Graduating Student” of the year, 1999 by the Headmistress, Mrs. Ahamba.

He lived a bright and quiet life in school, both in the primary and secondary schools during his studies. He was from a respected and responsible home and he is the sixth child of a family of eight and also, the sixth son. Godspower was born into a Christian family of Mr. Boniface Ejimogu Oparaugo and Mrs. Theresa Onyejiuwa Oparaugo of Okolochi Autonomous Community in Owerri West of Imo State.

Godspower Stephen Oparaugo studied at Federal Polytechnic, Nekede, Owerri, where he obtained his National Diploma in Purchasing and Supply in 2012, and proceeded to Abia State Polytechnic, Aba where he obtained his Higher National Diploma in Marketing in 2015. He served his fatherland under the umbrella of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in 2017 at Emgreat Realities Resources Limited, Akwa Ibom State. Godspower Oparaugo gained his membership and Chartered Diploma in Marketing in 2015 from National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (NIMN). He is currently processing his further studies.

In 2017, he was appointed “National President” Nigeria chapter of World Constitution and Parliament Association. His article “Africa and Leadership” was published by Modern Ghana in 2017.  His ability to found IAC has proven his leadership traits and contributions toward solving the problems facing the youths and the entire African citizens.

Godspower Stephen Oparaugo is a multi-talented youth, businessman and consultant in marketing, product branding, marketing strategy, idea development and so many areas of life.
